Our student Lokman Tuğrul Emek achieved significant success by winning 2nd place in Turkey at the E-Commerce Hackathon 2025 organized by TEKNOFEST and Trendyol.
Participating with the “KTT TrainedYol” Team, Emek ranked second in the Kaggle stage among 300 teams and advanced to the finals. The team maintained this performance during the 48-hour final at Trendyol Campus on September 13–14, 2025, winning 2nd place in Turkey.
Emek, who took an active role in developing product search and ranking algorithms, stated that he reflected his academic knowledge and practical data science skills in the project.
He noted, “This success, gained in a challenging final process, was achieved by competing not only with students but also with young professionals, which increases the value of our second place.”
