Computer engineering is defined as an engineering discipline incorporating science and technology, involving the software and hardware design, construction, and application of modern computer systems and the components of computer-controlled equipment. It is one of the significant engineering branches located at the focal point of students wishing to pursue a career, particularly in today’s technological world. As the Department of Computer Engineering at Afyon Kocatepe University, together with our experienced faculty members, we aim to offer you, our valuable students, the opportunity to specialize in both software and hardware fields by ensuring you acquire a wide range of skills. In our department, you can obtain the opportunity to develop yourselves in current topics such as artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity, in addition to fundamental subjects such as programming, algorithm design, and data structures. We aim for our students to graduate equipped with skills that will enable them to be productive and take initiative, whether individually or within a team, in their professional lives.
In addition to this development in the academic field, as the Afyon Kocatepe University Department of Computer Engineering, we also attach importance to the social development of our students. In this context, we aim to assist our students in expanding their social networks and accessing extra learning opportunities through student clubs, various events, and organizations within our department.
